3.4L w/ NOS Questions!!!

I have a 3.4L and was wondering what is the HP stock. And how much of a shot of Nos can I run? I am gonna buy a wet Nos kit from my friend, it's NX (Nitrous Express) with a 10 lb. bottle and adjustable from 50-150 shot. Also after I install it and stuff what daily things would I need to do to make sure I don't screw my engine. I am pretty sure I have a near 250 HP now and I keep with GT mustangs and crush the 230 HP 5.0's. Just can't wait to get my LT1/LS1.... Thnx for any input Soccaballa2k4@aol.com

Cool

If you have a 3.4 with that much power id be pretty impressed! They come factory with a sorry 160hp and thats at the flywheel. The engine can stand the 150 prob but i wouldnt do it. id run aroun 80 just get get matched with ur mustang. IMO. Id get an exhuast temp gauge if u use it alot...another shutoff valve, if u ever get in trouble an extra is nice. Just dont be an ediot and drive around juiceing it all the time on couners and blow the engine. Be safe, have fun, keep me posted!

K

IMO? what's that mean......sry if I sound stupid lol......newayz i won't be stupid and use it all the time because it's only for emergency racing uses or for money races.......I don't think it could take the 150 cuz after a few it would blow. I was thinking of doing 50 and then if it runs good shoot up to a 75. I am also wondering, if you mean matched up with the 3.8L Mustang, cuz I can take those all day stock..... Thnx

your 3.4 probably only makes 150 hp at the flywheel. No way in hell its anymore then that without major motor modifications and Im not talking bolt on. Naturally aspirated that is

3.4s will blow with a 85 shot of nitrous so thats as high as Id go stock and still be prepared for hte boom sooner or later it will come.

3.4 on 150 shot = hell 85 hp =

ok?

I never said my car was stock, just wondering what it had stock! I also didn't say anything about 85 shot.... I said 50 shot and thinking if it worked good of going to 75 shot. Thnx newayz....

What's a good price for a NX (Nitrous Express) 50-150 shot, 10 lb bottle w/ bracket and all hook ups etc.?

A stock 3.4L V6 is rated at 160bhp. As Tiago said, 85 shot on stock internals is not too safe. 70 should be okay, but only occasionally.

Just curious...but what mods do you have on your 3.4

250 HP on a 3.4 without nitrous is interesting...I'm sure the rest of us would like to know.

I can see getting 250bhp, but without nitrous, 250rwhp would be hard to attain.

This kid is full of it. There is no way he has a 250hp 3.4L. And I can say this without a V8 bias because check out my sig.

Sorry kid but your car is prob dynoing 130 at the rear wheels. I’d really like to know what’s giving you nearly a 100hp gain completely NA.

And every time someone calls BS on you, all I hear is “my cars not stock”

What exactly do you have done to it? Your not making 250hp and your car does not go “way over 140mph”.

Prove me wrong please.

I was looking on the NOS and ZEX sites a while back and they said 20 more Hp more per cylinder is a good rule of thumb.
I think that's a lot for a 3.4L.
It's been done on 3.8L's.
Even with my crane cam and my other wise stock inside engine I don't think it's puting down more then 200 at the wheels.
Might be clost to 200 at the crank.
I bet it's running rich as hell with those GN injectors.
