3.4L OHV parts
3.4L OHV parts
Hello everyone, you may call me crazy but I took a 94 camaro 3.4L engine and drilled the block and stuffed it into my Fiero, then I put a T-25 Garret on it and was wondering where I can buy a rebuild kit for this engine, since I would like to redo the internals so it can handle ~15psi it's already pulling easy 12s but I want more without it killing over (daily driver) so I want to rebuild it this winter but have had no luck sourcing internal parts, also anyone know where I can pick up teflon skirted forged/hyper... pistons or does someone have a better recomendation? I am also running Comp 1.52 roller rockers. TIA

Re: 3.4L OHV parts
no havent ported or polished had to have the engine swapped in and runnin over a weekend, kicked my curse-ed 2.8 junk motor to the curb. I bought 1.6 rockers on ebay but the jack@ss sent me the 1.52s, I have been told that the 3.4 block is better built than the 2.8 some sort of "webbing" in the block to increase strength just wondering if its true or not.

Re: 3.4L OHV parts
Yep, the 3.4L is built rather stout, which is a shame since GM didn't help it out with better goodies from the factory early on. Makes one wonder why anyone would consider that ARI 2.8L to 3.4L stroker job...
I'm sure one of those rare Turbo 3.1L engines would be a good find for your internals, like one from an early 90s Grand Prix.
