3.4 L Water pump question
3.4 L Water pump question
Guys,
I am changing this pump for my mother in law.....no jokes please...
I haven't started it yet but just looked it over.....and I have to say it looks like a pain in the butt. Am I better off to pull the PS pulley and tackle the job like that or am I better off removing the entire bracket assembly with the pump attached.
I need to get the bracket out of the way somehow because the lower bolts on the drivers side attach the wp to the block behind the damn bracket!
Looking for the fastest easiest way to knock this out on Thanksgiving afternoon.....and I don't have a ps pump pulley remover....soooo....let's hear the genius on this forum....help a guy out.

Re: 3.4 L Water pump question
Well only thing I can remember about changing the pump is that there was a damn bolt behind that power steering pulley, not sure if I had to remove it but I did. Keep track of where all the bolts go cause there are like 2 different sizes. Also tell her to let the car sit for a while so the gasket has time to cure.
