3.1 Operating temp?

Whats the normal operating temp for a 3.1 gm engine?

It's been warmer out lately and my 90 cavalier's temp gauge has been going half way up the scale instead of 1/4 like it was during winter.

i'll give you a clue.... it has a lot to do with the condition of the 195 degree thermostat

oh i see your from canada i guess that would be what like 92 degree celsius

hmm. 195. It was getting up to 220 the other day, then the fans would kick in and it would go down.

That's the same day I topped up the coolant too.
