2000-'02 V6 Hypertech Programmer

Hypertech is releasing their programmer for the 2000-'02 3.8 V6 Camaro/Firebird. We're currently taking orders and should have them ready to ship next week. The part number is 30009 and our price is $339.99. Details can be found in the V6 ignition section of our website.

Does Hypertech have a programmer for a 1999 3.8L? I know Jet Chip does, so thats what I was gonna buy. Is Hypertech better than Jet Chips?

Thanks for the info!! I might have to get one for my 2000 V6 3800. I plan a couple of small mods for the motor because I dont want to spend too much money on the 6, I plan to install an LS1 as soon as the money comes around. I gotta a couple of ?'s though. With the 3800 I plan to add K&N filter, MTI airbox, Shift kit (optional because the programming might do what I need ), Hypertech programming, 160 degree thermo. What other small mods can I do to boost the horsepower up to around 275-280 hp. Second Question, I plan to purchase the LS1 from E-bay (Corvette & camaro LS1's) is this a good idea? also I want the Ls1 to have a least 380-390 hp with out NOS, and without a supercharger, What combination of parts will let me do this? I'm on a budget ( I also have an 86 Z-28 I'm working on) but my cars are my only hobby. You can check them both out on this site "stangkilla1" is the 86 Z-28, and "stangkilla2 is the 2000. You can leave a response in my guestbook or on this same page, I check back often. Thankz
Oh, the 8.1 surburban is on point!! Makes ya wonder why chevrolet did'nt think of a package like that.

275 or 280? With the mods you listed I'd be surprised if you saw 170 rwhp. Not to be an ***, but you're gonna need alot more than small mods to get to 270 or 280 hp (even if you're talking about flywheel HP).

You're looking at nitrous, supercharger, or serious internal engine work to see those numbers.
