Exclamation 1994 V6 overheating...

Hi, I just purchased a 94 camaro with a v6 and a 5 speed. I knew that it had problems when I got it, now I need to figure out how to fix them. It overheated really quickly so I replaced the thermostat. That seemed to work for about a day with no problems. But now it slowly overheats when I drive around town. Also if I try to turn on the heater it bogs the engine down and kills it if I don't turn the heater back off. That might be a totally different problem but I'd like to know about that too. (good thing I got a sweet deal on this car) Thanks everybody

try to sit in front of the drive way ands dont have ur ac on and let it run after a few min look to see if you fan is turning on once it reach a lil past the middle or middle. also in the case of driving around in the city and it still starting to over heat just drive with the ac on because then the ac fan will come on and help to cool down the engine
