01 missfire

ive got a 01 camaro 3.8,it started running rough about 2 weeks ago, loss of power and rough idle, then yesterday i was on the interstate and whenever i was accelerating it would start shuddering and the check engine light would blink off and on until i let off the gas and backed back down to about 65 or so,had the engine codes ran and it came back with 3 codes, one is for the cat.(which is brand new,its only 3 months old) one is cylinder missfire on #2, i changed plugs and wires same thing, and the last code is the MAF.well i bought a new MAF 189.00 bucks and its still doing the same thing..when i take off it just stutters until i let off the gas...any ideas?

Re: 01 missfire

It sounds to me like a mis-fire problem. I've had that happen 2x in my '98.

It usually requires plugs & wires, next time I'm going to get something heavier and more insulated then the AC delco ones, but my car almost always will feel a little mis when it's hot out

Re: 01 missfire

I'm a newbie under the hood, I'm having a misfire problem also. It shudders when it's idle. I replaced all the plugs and wires except #3 I believe, cause I can't get to it. What brand of coils you recommend? A part number would be awesome.
