Z28 vs Z28
Hey guys, im new to the board.
Today i was driving in my stock Z28, and i was in the right lane of the 2 and the right lane ends so you have to merge over. Well i wasn't staying in the right lane to be a jerk and pass everybody before it ends, i was only in it becuase 90% of the cars in teh left lane turn left at teh intersection prior to the right lane ending. So you all understnad.
Maybe its just me but this really made me sad.there was a z28 in the left lane, and i know if I was in his shoes, I would have been a gentelmen and let the person in the right lane over, as im sure most of you would do. but this guy didnt and we raced all the way down till i finally managed to get over, he damn near ran me into a fench!
I was just kinda dissapointed that the guy treated a brother the way he did. the same goes for if there was a corvette was in the right lane, I would have let him over ( a mustang is a differnet story....and i also saw one of the new things today, i tihnk they are butt ugly, does anyone else feel the same?)

Let me be the first to say WELCOME!
Yes, there are jerks everywhere. Some people don't get the bond with other f-body owners. I try to give a thumbs up to the others I see on the road.
Now that you are here, why don't you take a look at how to add some more fun to your car with some engine or suspension mods.

Yea that is one thing I would love to do, but frankly I just dont have the time.
Only thing done to the car is filled in the "Camaro" in the back with silver letters, car is black.

Oh, and I guess I just assumed all f-body owners were like me, my mistake. It was just the first time I have been challenged in a situation like that by a Camaro

Ok, I know this question is in no relation to the topic, but I need an immediate answer...
I'm not to familar with *** cars....but was there a 1996 300ZX with 500+ horsepower stock?
I was in another argument with a friend of mine. Just Curious

^LOLOLOLOLOLOL... NO! The Twin Turb cars were the most powerful.. and even they have only like 300hp.. maybe a little less.
EDIT: Yup, the '96's had 300hp, and 283lb's of torque. Oh ya.. and they were TWIN TURBO'S as well.

I was telling him a ss would beat a 350z and hes like "the 1996 300zx had (he said 500 something cant remember exactly) it smokes an SS" and i dont know anything about them hes full of **** and he always tells me about the 100k cars that can beat a camaro....pisses me off, hes like a 12 year old.

I just brush those morons off anyway. I like to keep my car out of risk from a wreck. I pretty much let everyone in. I figure if your curteous to others they will do the same. Hopefully anyway. Tell that guy who knows everything about cars to be an auto journalist since he's so smart.

Hello, all.
Before i will state my opinion i want to give a little BG on where it is coming from.
There is this entrance to a freeway, which i always take. There are two lanes which merge into one and a carpool lane. As a driver i had to take a test and read the DMW book. It states that: "if cars have to merge into one lane, the pattern is 1 2 1 2 1 2."
So, now onto my opinion. I always follow this rule, be that a mustang, camaro, a freaking SUV. When someone does not obey the rules of common sense, I just go and do not give any right of way. **** EM! I never had any problems showing the person that they need to learn the rules.
Another situation.
You drive on an empty street, the speed limit iz 35, so u go about 40. There are no cars behind you. This mother makes his/hers turn right infront of your car. Clearly, it is not that hard to calculate the time until the impact of both vehicles. I keep on going and breake at the last moment, to scare the mf!!!! I hope next time they will realize that their driving is all screwd.
You might want to ask me why do i do it? Well....I know the capabilitie of my car, I know what i am doing. I just want to teach some arrogant ******* out there. I hope when you do the same, those drivers ,who wanna "squize" in, while others are fair, will learn their place. Those drivers who pull out on the road in from of the car will learn their lesson.
While i am in the subject....
I am driving on the freeway.(3rd lane) My exit is 1/2 miles away. There is a FREAKING 18-wheeler taking the exit. The exit is a ramp, so it is downhil. I don't know what this mother was thinkig. He accelerates, gets infront of the 18-ner and freaking breaks hard, cuz he was "squizing" in. I thought there is going to be a death.
Anyhow, thank you for driving like u got ***** and common sense. Keep an eye for the dumb ****s and you be ok, but do not encourage them to continue their style of driving. Even if you a good driver, they might take a life of a less experienced driver.

Welcome to the board! There are a-holes everywhere on the roads, don't sweat 'em. Yes, I think the new Stang is butt ugly as well. You need a sig. with your year of car, tranny, and mods, etc. What are you driving, specifically?

hey stereomandan do u have any times on your 97 z, cause i have a 97 z a4 w SLP intake and i was just wondering if u ran yours stock, ive heard from another guy i know that his 97 z(stock) ran a 13.8 in the quarter mile and runs like 5.7 0-60 so i was just wonderin what urs did i hope to go to the track in the spring with all my goodies i have one the way
