Now, an 03 -04 SVT Cobra is quite a different story depending on the mod’s.
What do you drive? Mods? Timeslips?

No. That's not that bad of times for your mods. Many stock auto LT1s only ran low 14s at 97ish. The bs on the internet makes you believe everything should be faster.

High 13s to low 14s at 99ish bone stock 5-speed at sea level. How are 18" wheels robbing you of gear? Tire height matters, not wheel height. At 2400 feet they should run about mid 14s at 96ish.

A bone stock 4.10ed '96-01 Cobra will not hit 12s! Prove it! MMFF had a bone stock '97 Cobra that ran 13.7. They added 4.56 gears and it ran 13.5. Those guys can drive very well. It takes more than just 4.10s to put a Cobra in the 12s. So a bone stock 99+ GT with 4.10s and Nittos will hit 12s? BS. Prove it again. They need a few more mods than that.

It's 4.30s not 4.33s. More bs about the 6 tenths, try 2 or 3 tenths.

Yes, but you have a lot more than 4.10s and Nittos. We all know what cars with your mods can do.

Lets get this all figured out...You have a GT with 4.30's and other significant mods. How are you "demonstrating" how a Stock GT with 4.10's runs 12's? I guess with that kind of logic I can demonstrate how a stock LT1 with 2.73's runs mid to low 13's and smokes 2000+ Lightnings with mods in sig.

I think you are running out of legs to stand on, even if you are sitting on a 4 legged pony.

I'm sorry I misunderstood this post I guess. No, a stock stang with just gears will not go 12's in my opinion.......

18's aren't helping any at all cause there heavy compared to a weld wheel...Size matters I disagree

He said his 18" wheels were hurting his gearing. Rim size doesn't matter about hurting or helping gearing. Tire height does. Taller tires than stock hurts gearing. Now if the 18" wheel and tire package is heavier than the stock wheel and tire package, then yes that will hurt straightline performance, but it won't hurt gearing unless the tires are taller.

I believe I reiterated in a previous post that a 99 or newer GT with 4.10's and bolt ons can hit 12's, same with a 96-01 Cobra.

Yes, but the arguement was not for a Stang with 4.10s and bolt ons.
