i was on the freeway next to a 04 saleen - it sounded way cool and looked even better...it also sounded like this had a nice supercharger - i know saleens are supposed to be faster than the cobra (correct me if im wrong)

anyway we are side by side - he would hit it, i would hit it (doing around 120 or so) - we could not pull to far ahead from each other...

anyway we get off the freeway and are at a red light - we go at it and i take him off the line - and stay ahead of him by a few car lenghs up until about 80MPH, then i just let off the gas, 3-4 seconds later, he blows by me..

at the next light he takes off all slow, so do i.. then i get a car in front of me and he looks at me and revs then goes and im stuck in traffic..

why do soo many people refuse to race after they lose, unless u have someone in front of you???????????????????

the same thing happend with 2 cobra's in my neighborhood..

i also love the excise - i mis-shifted - or i spun them too hard

if i lost - i just say - oh well... and spend more $$ to fix that problem

i did lose because i was still spinning the tires at the end of the 1/4 mile - i lost - didnt make an excuse - i lost - that it... they guy that won was way impressed i was still spinning the tires at the end of the 1/4 mile - i thought it was cool


im not gonna fight traffic tring to race - if there is traffic - i wont try to go around it and i wont drive like a idiot.. someone dring a Z06 tried 2 race me and totaled his car...

 

Still spinning at the end of the 1/4 mile? That seems a little impossible being that you have 443 hp, and your car is an automatic.

You have some pretty exstensive work done....there only high 12 second cars w/ the blower/tires and a professional driver...The new Cobras would eat one of those alive...That must be a REALLY HOT CAM

 

I just dont see how you could "spin wheels" at the 1/4 mile mark. Obviously you're trapping about 110 or so? So you're saying you can let off the gas going that fast, then stomp the pedal & spin them?

 

If he has 443rwhp and can only trap at 110, then the car needs to be lit on fire and rolled off a cliff.

That much rwhp should be good for 120 - ish

 

lol it's unlikely *I* have 443 rwhp. on a hotcam?! Nah. Think I'll dyno before I shut the car down for winter just to know where I was before my 427/procharger combo goes in.

 

seen a couple videos of cars spinning completely through the 1/4. One was a 1000hp hennessey cobra on radials, and the other was a 770rwhp lingenfelter c5 on street tires. LOL

 

i made 567hp/611tq and only spun thru 2nd. so with 440+ id call bull****.
my car traped 131 so somethings afoot.....

 

yeah. I probably have around 430-440 at the wheels and I only spin partially through 2nd, get squirrely into 3rd, and bark 4th... but no spinning through the 1/4 mile... and it's an m6.

LOL now his sig says he's got a 427 LT-1. Is that even possible or has it been done? and if it is, now it's just a turd if it's only making 443 rwhp with those cubes--- and his mph has gone up. Not bad for 2 days work.

 

Who ever lists "limited slip"...I sure hope your not doing one wheel peels with a 427.....and 2.02/1.65? Wouldnt you wanna go bigger like 2.05? And what normal person really needs the 7AL unless it free or no extra cost vs 6AL?

LOL. I had a blown 94 Vette that made exactly 443 rwhp on pump gas (stock injectors and tune). It trapped at 121...so you're dead on. This guys full of sh*t....spinning at the end of the 1/4
