What exactly is a Boss GT?
The weather was sort of nice last night so I decided to go out to the track. I knew I wasn't going to run anything spectacular since I was on street tires. My first run was against a 99-02 Mustang GT. It has BOSS on the front fender with some sort of hockey stripes running down the side. Anyways, we both have a bad launch (mine was a 2.09 60' to his 2.15 I believe). I pull him (very slowly) all the way down the track, and have about 3 cars on him at the end.
After the race I was in the staging lanes and he comes up to me and was like "hey is that stock?!" I said no that I have exhaust, tune, and gears but I wasn't running good tonight since I don't have my drag radials. He said that he normally smokes LT1s and I suprised him. He said that he also runs 13.20s. So just what exactly does this "Boss GT" have, or is it something he did on his own. It sounded pretty good though...

Mustang gt
I saw a 06/07 last sep at a Ford dealer in Minot on the showroom but the dealership was closed for the holiday and i didn,t get the spec,s on it ,just a couple pics.I have never seen this on a 99-02 gt and seeing that those car ran mid 14,s at our local track(14.6) to be able to run 13.2,s obviously lots has been done.Sounds like a done up one or a clone.
I'm not positive, but I think that Larry Shinoda "owns" the Boss trademark. He's the Mustang guru from the 60's and 70's who did all the factory performance work on the original Boss Mustangs.
You never know for sure with Stangs....
Last year at the track there was a 95 Trans am sitting waaaay back in the staging lanes near me. We were fuggin around talking as a mishap on the track yielded everyone. I noticed on his front window it said Lingenfelter. I was like Holy **** dude, do you have the 383 in that thing? He said no, then when I asked about the decal he said he paid $14 for it when he ordered his CAI from guess who.... Lingenfelter catalog.

not sure what the 99-04 ones have but there is a 94 boss around here
i think it's #86 out of 104 made that year....anyways it came with CAI,shorty headers,cat-back,intake,and an larger TB (as far as i could tell) the owner said it was stock. dunno about the other years but in 94 each car had it's build number on the ft bumper
verry nice looking car for a 5.0 SN95
