Bolt on LS1s will stomp the dog **** out of one. Cammed LT1's will also light one up. So who cares. Why compare a car that costs $30,000 to abunch of 10+ year old cars that can be had for $2,000-$6,000. Not to mention theres is next to nothing you can do to make the new mustangs faster and keep them NA. I am happy with my old built push rod motor, it will push a new 5.0ls **** in hard.

But that's not the point. The fact is the Mustang is finally the faster of the two(either 4th or 5th gen). There is no debating this. It will beat a LS1 stock to stock pretty much every day. The days of "LS1's are created by God" are over. The LS1 is still a very stout motor with a knack for gaining power on the cheap, but when a 4cyl mini van with a flash and a downpipe can show one tail lights then the times have moved forward and you have to face you have old technology, potent for sure, but old technology.

Beyond all that the cars of today are a bit more refined in their ride quality and the features you get in the drivers compartment.

I agree also..looks like the 5.0 is a drop faster then the 5th gens.

not bagging on F bodies, just the attitude here.

where do people like you come from? nothing to make them faster? really. i guess 430-440 rwhp from bolt ons will not make them any faster than stock. or 410rwhp from break-in and a tune/cai. so far the king is 656rwhp with a 250shot for a 2011gt. the info is all out there.

you comment is becoming the anthem of 4th gen owners. 10 years old......

so from your logic, a 1985 mustang gt with 4.30's, 250 shot, DR's,big cam, for $2500.00 is cool.

must make you sick that you spent money on ported heads, that the a stock 5.0 head murders.

I'm hoping that 600+ rwhp isn't on the stock bottom end!

I think everything in the new 5.0 is forged except the pistons. With 11:1 compression, boost is going to be a tricky thing without changing pistons no matter what kind they are. "Spray and pray" seems to be doing well so far.

I must step in to correct you, this is usually the anthem of LS1 owners, NOT 4th gen owners. LT1 guys are usually humble, and let the car speak for itself, unlike LS1 guys, who are usually like steroid pumping muscle heads coming from the gym talking about how ripped they are.

I cant speak for this guy though, as his sig says he owns an LT1. Maybe hes got little d1ck syndrom.

The 2011 is pretty quick. I raced one Saturday at a track. I ran a slower than normal 14 flat and this is what I got. Ha ha. He was hitting high 12's all day. Has a few bolt-ons and drag radials. I recently added a JLT CAI without a tune and it slowed me down .2 in the 1/4.

In-car video in my automatic Mach 1.

Up here in the great white north these 2011 gt Mustangs are going to be putting the hurt on new Camaro sales as well as the local ford lot has one advertised for $33,980.The cheapest 010 ss Camaro is around $39,000.I think i will hold on to my 94 Z28(13.24-13.35)for a while yet.

There's already a TVS 1900 blower spec'd for them. The TiVCT is no joke, and with that you can do some amazing things with them, even with 11:1 CR
