Ok last night I watched 2000 camaro ss with cat-back and a lid race a 95 z28 with shorties,cold air,3.73's,built trany with shift kit,and cat-back. both cars were a4. So off of the line the z28 completly owned this ls1's *** (mostly of the torque and gears,partilly becasue of the ls1' launch) so the lt1 is crusing about 2 or 3 cars ahead of the ls1 threw all of first and mid way second then the ls1 makes up the ground and starts passng the z28 pretty qucikly. By the end of the qaurter the ls1 had about 2-3 cars on on the lt1.
Now I have very similiar mods to the 95 but have barely edged out 2000 z28's threw the qaurter. Does the outcome of the race sound about right? At the track the ls1 has run a best of 13.3 and no times on the z. Just curius I thought the lt1 would of had enough groudn on him to hold it off threw the qaurter. Thanks for any help.

well, from all I have heard and seen those ls1's have some serious top end so this sounds about right to me. I ran an ls1 vette at the track and got him off the line and he did the same thing to me came around me at the end so I know the feeling.

with me the the ls1 usually passes me somewhere around 80. but on other races that we go from a stop they havent pulled on me up top, and this is b4 is had some of my mods done. now i really dont know! hopefully i run into a near stock one sometime soon!
