volvo wagon newer model

I swear the volvo comercials are giving volvo owners pride in there cars horsepower. I was on a road and was behind a volvo, so I step on the gas because im in a hurry and I would like to go faster. So I swerve to the next lane and go past him, a simple push of the pedal. Then i hear the volvos engine loud voooom and half a car on me. Im like.... what the f***, so then i give it a nice push but not enough were I leave him walking, Im waiting for him to gun it then I was going to slam the pedal to the floor and then leave him walking. Well I guess that was all he wanted to push his volvo because 10 seconds later he slows down and know the volvo is about a block away.

I swear these volvo ads, got people beliveing they got a monster under the hood. True some of the volvos are made fast but not this new wagon. Next time I will just slam the gas pedal and leave them walking, this has happened more then once and I got to kill their ego because this is happening to often to me. I would like to buy drag radials because Im having a problem with traction and this pisses me off.

Re: volvo wagon newer model

I know the R model is made fast. Im not familar with the volvo wagons that have turbos. Only reason I didn't slam on the gas pedal all the way, was because If a cop was to pull one of us over it would have been the 2nd place car. Im just so dam surprised to see these volvo owners -in a wagon- try to race or maybe i need to get out more. The volvo was a 2003-2005 looked brand new but it could have been a 02, it look kinda square too.

Re: volvo wagon newer model

This one was not a turbo. I can't really say it was a race either. On more then three occasions, I see volvo owners trying to pick a race then back out of one. Before I passed the volvo, it had some numbers on the rear right. I don't know which model it was,it looked like the old boxed wagon models but brand new. I know when I passed him the first time -with no intension to race- about 3 seconds later I hear him rev his enging then he got a small jump on me. I should have just pulled his card. Every since I got a 420 dollar speeding ticket, Im very picky on who and when I race, it sucks to let other car think they can hang with you. But it kills having to go to traffic school. Great kill by the way.
