Cool Vega goes down....

LOL, I was at the track with my Turbo '00 GT Grand Prix. Street trim (10psi boost, street 18" Toyo tires) So I get lined up with this old Vega with a rowcage, slicks, motor hanging out of the hood etc. Three lights start flashing, both of us get .56X lights he pulls me by like 4 car lengths. 1/8 mile comes I start to catch back up. I will let the slip speak for itself.

Mine 12.51 @ 117 mph
His 12.6x @ 108 mph

LOL.... OWNED.

Please tell me you have a website for that car!

Btw, I'm selling my Stealth and Grand Marquis to get a Chrysler 300C as soon as the AWD models are available. Hopefully Oct-Nov!

Maybe someone will have forced induction for them by then

Please, please, PLEASE tell me you're only joking and you're not seriously going to sell that awesome Stealth to get an f'in Chrysler 300!

Nice kill Beek, that car sounds like one hell of a sleeper. I would like to know more about it as well.

Re: Vega goes down....

Of course I don't want to sell it, but it makes financial sense. I'll save $4-500 a month by condensing to one car. The Stealth isn't a good daily driver (I'm gettin' old) and the Mercury isn't fun enough to be an only car. The 300C runs 14.1 @ 101 (and probably faster w/ AWD) and I'm sure there will be plenty of mods. I'm going to test-drive the next Hemi that arrives at the dealership to make certain it's the car I want.

And I can't wait to see a 400+ hp Grand Am. That's fast enough to embarrass a lot of well-modded Supras. Talk about a sleeper!
