Unleashed the fury on a 99+ Mustang GT

First race I've had in a while where the guy that I was racing actually had a damn clue what he was doing and not trying to do repeated ricer flyby's and consider it racing. Well first race in a while except for racing buddies and stuff.

Anyhow, I'm on the way home from a long day of school when this guy passes me slowly in a black on black 99+ GT convertable. He was looking pretty hard at my fenders looking for the Z28 badges so I gave it just a little gas and eased on past him. He moved over into the lane directly behind me, and when it was clear he whipped around into what was an apparent ricer flyby...... I nailed the gas as soon as I noticed him trying to pass me and stayed ahead of him. So he got behind me again and flashed his lights. I slowed down and dropped to second gear at about 45 mph. He got up next to me in his second gear I'm supposing and honked three times. On the third time we were gone and I must have put 2.5 car lengths on him while I was still in second!! I shut it down pretty quickly as there was really no need to be an *** and stay in it. He caught up next to me, we waved and he turned around........

Nice guy, at least there's someone out there that still knows how to get a fair race going.

John

good job Tiger. Of course the outcome was expected. If everyone was like that racing would be much more fun. I just thought of something....it would be much more dangerous also because everyone would do it.

Hehe, he started it! Honestly I hardly ever instigate races but every once in a while one just seems to happen!

I'll tell you what, this is the first real race I've had in about a year that I didn't setup beforehand. Usually to get a race I have to set one up with a buddy. Other than that, I usually get turd races like the 80's monte carlo with a worn out 305 that I monkey stomped on the interstate a few nights ago..... While fun, I generally don't really post my turd races unless they are reall funny!

I love posts like these.
It reminds me of why I bought my squeaky brick on wheels... to roast the tires so others can eat what's left.

I've never lost a race yet in this car... but then again, I haven't seen very many fast cars...

It's so lame around here that when I had my 3.8 the only time I lost was to a 02 GT...

I'm sure doomsday will be coming for me sooner or later, in the form of cobra or sti, etc... oh well, mine's cheaper.
