Lest we forget the money it costs to maintain a high hp project. Especially if something goes terribly wrong. In which, odds are something will happen.

The GT has already run 10.9's and trapped 133
ive seen a vid on here like that on here too, but he mentioned mods like aftermarket pulley and something done to the exhaust. i wouldnt consider that stock. if you could point out an article, vid or something showing a stock gt running those times, then i will stand corrected.

Re: Turbo SS gives it to Ford GT

Spending 150k and only getting that much power is a total waste. Plus the Turboed SS was worth what? 50k MAX, drop 100k into the body of that SS and not only is it faster, but it even looks even more better then the Ford GT. The guy was dumb for putting 130-150k in a ford or any car for that matter. Building motors takes skill, buying them does not lol. Now with all that being said.

The guys in the ford GT are just like the trash mustang talkers. So they deserve to get beat.

Its about status and owning a rare car that is drooled on by most everyone. Lets say you own a $100k house and its in the "ghetto". Another person has a $1.5 million house in the hills and its 5 times as big. you could theoretically build that $100k house bigger and better with less money but its still in the "ghetto". Im not noway near saying the camaro is crap but the guy bought that GT for other reasons than performance. I liked how he got beat too.

You didn't specify worse case scenario. An auto f-body pushing 550rwhp should easily be in the 10's even at a 3650 race weight.

Re: Turbo SS gives it to Ford GT

Woah a chevy site and theres people defending ford...

It breaks down to

Stock GT Vs modded camaro
$151,000 car Vs $30,000 car
V8 SC Vs V8 TT
Ford Vs Chevy
WTFC Vs STFU

Its not like they waited all night for a GT to show up. They where just making a video to sell products.

Who said anything about camaros being "ghetto" whats "ghetto" about buying a nice SS camaro, making it fast and buying a house also instead of buying a $151k ford? People that argue that it wasn't a fair race need to do a little research... the GT pushes over 500 FWHP, is Double overhead cam and twin screw supercharged! The LS1 in there is a pushrod V8 with twin turbos probably exhaust and tuning.

Where did it say anything about it being a twin turbo? "Probably exhaust and tuning"? Do you have any idea what it takes to build something like that?
Once again people just don't realize (unless they've learned the hard way themselves) when you build up a project like that SS it's going to take a lot of money to maintain the same power levels. Perhaps not 150K unless you're a complete moron, but it isn't an "exotic" car with a warranty either.

I want to know how to make 550 hp with 24lb injectors and a stock fuel pump.

A 250 shot wet kit. It'll make 550 for a minute.

Re: Turbo SS gives it to Ford GT

I didnt watch the video because Ive already seen in before. The guy lives in my town and ive hungout with him a few times. Cockiest guy youll ever meet, but hes got some dough, so he has a fast car. If you watch the vid (assuming its the same exact thing i watched) you can see the GT start to pull up on him on the freeway. Of course the Th400 tranny doesnt help the SS and its setup for 1/4 mile, not freeway 150+ driving. Anyways yea the SS is quick as hell, but its not unstopable. Just the other night he raced a bike in town here and got burned...

I didnt say that the camaro was ghetto. The guy in the GT probably thought that camaro was crap cuz he wipes his a** with $100 bills. People that have crap loads of money spend it on Bentleys, Aston Martins, Ferraris, etc. because they have too much money. They buy cars with limited production #'s. They dont think whats the best bang for the buck. The only Camaros the would probably own are the old ZR1's or the Yenko's; Camaro's with 5 zeros after the price tag.

your right I don't know I guessed excuse me! I said probably exhaust cause it was a dang turbo and if your gonna put a turbo in you need an exhaust. Cheap would connect to the stock I pipe I don't know why you would but whatever. Then I said tuning cause of the turbo. I guessed it took $30,000 to build that SS camaro.
