8.3 @ 166

Awsome car, no doubt. Looks mean as hell with both turbos sticking out of the hood. But it doesn't sound like a V6?? Especially in the second vid of him running. Sounds like a small block...

Maybe it's just me?!?

In all honesty, it doesn't LOOK that fast in the last vid. It leaves like a crab, understandingly, but it's definately doing somthing on the top end!!!

That dyno vid is just frickin' awesome. Wonder what kind of power it'd be putting down if it didn't smoke the tires off? Still almost 1100hp ain't too shabby.

Yep, Duttweiller-built 390 SBC.

I posted the dyno vid a while back thinking it was when chris still had the stage 2 buick in it. He was running 8.80s with the V6. Glad to see he's getting faster

shhhweeet! thats my home track.... I've seen that guy pull up, nobody gives em a second look, (must've been a different motor) because it didn't sound much more than a cat back and thats it, then he ripped the tires off the ground and clicked off an 8.9x and people just about died! they couldn't believe it! ME included! I've heard numbers closer to 1300 at the rear wheels, but I don't know him very well so it could be talk, but I would believe it.

If you ever see the intake ports on a stage 2 head, you'll see why.... you can almost put your fist in the intake port. Push almost 40psi of boost through it and 4.5L and 7000+rpm and it'll make some mondo power. FWIW, kenny dutt built a 4.5L stage 2 V6 that's estimated to put over 1500rwhp to the ground (car ran a 6.9_ at 201mph). I'm being serious, the buick stage series of engines are bad as hell!!!

I'm sure chris will be pretty deep into the 7s by the time he's done.

[EDIT]- here's some shots of the stage 2 heads:

http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/pict...geiiheads.html

6 bolts per cylinder means superior sealing.... which mean MASSIVE amounts of boost.

Yea no kiddin. Put a set of worked splayed valve heads on that 390 and there's no telling how much power he'd make. (Mind you, SV heads will flow 400+cfm)

Last year Kenny built a TT 540 BBC that made 2500hp. He'll probably be running that motor pretty soon. I think it was actually at the SEMA show and CHP mentioned it in their mag. I remember looking at a picture of it.... you could stuff a cantaloupe in the up-pipe!!! But as usual, he's pretty hush-hush about what all he has done to it.

Hey caddie, I dont know who's car it is, or a link to the video, but a friend sent me a video of a GN (still had the V6), looked stock except for big slicks, and he got sideways on his run, and let out at the 1/8th mile mark (let all the way out of it, and was coasting) and still ETed at 8.87@ 116. I imagine that car was easily a 7 second car, or maybe a 6 second car, nearing 200 mph traps. Any idea who that guy is?
