My little bro just got a nice 2000 Civic. It has a few bolotons but basically thats it. He's talking a lot of smack though and wants to race I know i'll demolish him .. but i was wondering by how much? Hes got it lowered (way too much) and has low profile tires on it.. I think it'll be a dog off the line and even worse from a roll.

Any suggestions on how I should do this? Give him a headstart? Just blow his doors off heads up? Give him the jump? Laugh hysterically at the though of him wanting to race?

Last option prolly isnt an option since it won't solve the smack talk

A few ideas.

Run him in reverse.
Get a trailer hitch and tow a boat behind you.
Load your car down with as much people or weight as possible.

 

race em from a dig and keep on letting off the gas to let em catch up 3 or 4 times, then flat foot it til you have 5 cars on him...

 

He is probably going to want to do a roll, so here is what you do!
You start from a stop and tell him to pass you at 25-30 mph, and when he gets to you, you go.
My money is on the LT1.

My friend had a '90 Integra in college with a B16A (1.6L, DOHC, "VTEC") ... they're supposed to be ~160 - 170 HP? Anyway, he claimed that those were 14-second cars with that engine.

So he raced his brother with a stock '96 TA, A4, 2.73's (which has run ~14.5's in the 1/4 mile).

The Integra lost. Bad. REALLY bad. It was pretty embarrassing!!!

Just race him from a dead stop, and then teach him how to properly hook up his ride.

 

Yea i already talked him out of a wing... hes looking at improving the suspension next. He asked whats the best mod I can do and i said buy a camaro

 

Destroy him from a stop put your little bro in his place (coming from an older brother) i dont have that problem seeing as me and my little bro both own LT1 z28's

 

 

Yea i'll probably end up just racing him from a stop... It won't be till the weather here warms up, I want to make sure i destroy him off the line, I'll have 3.73's and Relocation brackets in hopefully in by then too 8)

I seriously did consider reverse but I'd run out of gear too soon and would probably have bad wheel hop

 

This thread makes me want to buy a civic
