So today i was working downtown and one of my coworkers compliments the sound of my exhaust. We start talking and i told him i was going to remove my y-pipe and off road pipe and play the game, "see how many car alarms i can set off going through the parking garage" tomorrow. So after work i remove them and head off to school.

After school, on my way home, an RX8 flies by me and i stop next to him at a light. We had a sprinkle of rain so the ground is damp and its about 40 deg. The driver seems upset because my car was making his windows rattle and he prolly couldnt hear his Backdoor Boys cd. the light turns green and i bring the rpms up to 2200 in 1st and he bites. i hit the throttle about 90% and instantly it redlines and he passes by a car.

I throw it into second and still spinning get my front bumper to his sideview mirror. At that point i let off at 57~60 cuz i got a 60 in a 35 ticket in that same spot back in Feb. Ahhh it infuriates me cuz i just lost to a mother f****** piece of s*** mazda. I know "run what you brung" but still... a mazda. But what gets me pissed is that 1. my tires are down to the warning tread. 2. the ground was wet and even if i feathered it he would still have passed me (less hp and more traction). 3. i lost alot of torque running open headers and 4. some people probably got my liscence plate and are going to sue me cuz their ears were bleeding when i flew by them. Now he prolly went to his "mazda" buddies and told them he just tore a lt1 a new a-hole. I let you down guys. im sorry.

But mark my words i will find him and it will be a different outcome. I will kill his car until it dies from it.

Dude you're making us look bad. But hey, you can't help spinning with so much power. Even if he did "Beat you" , I'm sure he knows if it was in drying conditions that you would eat him alive and spit out the Mazda emblem. Just get new tires and don't let it happen again

Re: RX8 gets lucky
Dont you hate it when that happens? If you really want exhaust sound issues run a LM, Duals, or GMMG I counted 15 alarms in two level at my schools parking garage. You should see peoples faces when you leave the garage with all these alarms going off, and all they notice is my huge smile and loud pipes

Although I did manage to beat an Andretti Dodge dealship car in the rain, twas a Hemi Magnum. I pulled a few cars on him from a 30mph roll at half to 2/3 throttle. I guess even his racing stripes and Mopar stickers couldnt save his Hemi from the smack down.

Damn, I think you dislike Mazdas a little, Probably the same way I feel about WRX's. Yeah open header is just downright obnoxious, I threw some revs at the loud Harley crew the few days I had just LTs. Most just looked confused.

Re: RX8 gets lucky
I actually like the RX8 better than the 350Z but after losing to a car, that in any other circumstance, i would beat it went on my s*** list. I need to get my mods up and going soon because the weather here is startin to get better and in a couple months people will start pullin their hot rods outta their garages.

Re: RX8 gets lucky
1- Get some better tires. Tires are just as important as hp.
2- Don't race in the rain. Being in an f-body, the best it'll do is tick you off. At worst...
3- Get some exhaust on that car. It's cool for awhile, but just imagine what it would be like if a lot more people started doing it. You wouldn't be able to sleep at night with all the noise. I had my open LT phase, but after a couple weeks of it I realized that it didn't really feel any faster, and that I enjoyed listening to the stereo and not getting high off carbon monoxide.
4- Don't hold grudges. He won fair & square. Next time pick your fights on dry ground.

Nothing more ricer then trying to race in crappy conditions.
That isn't a great way to get someone hurt or killed.
