You should definitely smoke him.
Those things are built for torque, but don't forget how heavy SUVs can be, and how bad they are at getting power to the ground.
you got em

I have not seen or heard much about, but in the magazine tests they were pulling low 13s in those things. They are definitely not slouches. I think he will have the edge in this one. Once you get that LE1 package on there and a higher stall converter, you should have no problems then.

Re: to run?or not to run
Yea ... Unfortunatly, they do.
Its the stupidest thing ever for a jeep. People dont race Jeeps. They four wheel them. What good is a motor you have to wind out like that in a AWD SUV that is meant to be used for 4wheeling and ****. Its ****ing retarded.
Its almost as dumb as trying to reintroduce the muscle car era when gas prices are over $3.00 a gallon. Im sure the trend of 400-500HP V8 American cars will drindle in a hurry just like it did in the 60's.

Re: to run?or not to run
90% of the people that own SUV's rarely take them on a dirt road let alone offroad them. 35% of SUV's have more than 1 person in the vehicle. Look at the Escalade, Navigator, Cayenne, BMW series, etc. SUV's; how many people take those camping or out in the desert or whatever? Why would you want to get your $50-70K SUV dirty, get rock chips or break axels and crap? So Dodge says "people dont take these off roads anyways so why not make them pavement pounders."

And I donno, I mean, your right. But really, even at that. People dont buy an SUV to go fast. Thats what muscle and sport cars are for ...
Its just kind of retarded to me. I donno, maybe I am too conservative for 2006.
