Well this is my first post on this board and I'd like to say hello.

I'm a member at fbody.com and now I'm over here also. So this is my topic!


I get to talking to this guy who owns a supra down on gratiot, which is in michigan and where everyone races. So I get to talking to him and then he starts rippin on my TA and about how its a weak motor and what not. So I'm like ok whatever your car is slow and you cant launch it worth **** due to IRS, so he starts up this whole spiel about how his motor can handle 900 hp on stock internals? I'm saying well thats great, you payed an extra 10 grand for some OEM forged internals, you are stupid. Every guy I've gotten into an arguement about a supra with has always brought up the fact that it has the ability to handle 900 hp on stock internals, thats great! But im talkin about speed and they bring this up. When they buy the car do they have to sign a waiver if they get into an arguement they have to mention the internals. sorry just venting. But this always happens!


Typical convo w/ supra owner.

me: "cool car man, that wing is kinda out of hand."
he: "ya but your domestic has a weak motor."
me: "I can still take you in the 1/4."
he: "ya but my car can handle 900 hp on stock internals."
me: "what the **** does that have to do with anything."
he: "shut up your gay and you drive a ****ty domestic."
me: "ok, put some money down and well see how ****ty this domestic is."
he: "nah man, i just spent 1100 on my street fighter body kit im broke."
me: "ha ha ha."
End of convo.

 

I missed the kill in that story The supras a badass car...w/ a very small amount of mods it can eat up an stock or lightly modded LS1

 

I guess you didnt realize that it was a kill story. I beat the supra, and I dont care with minimal mods it can beat this n that. Im just saying why do they always bring up how their internals can handle 900 hp in a race convo. They act like saying that means they have 900 hp or something.

 

humm... i've never raced there... guess i'll have somewhere else to go when i get the galant out in the spring... and have that crappy domestic ready would ya (j/k) wink, wink, nod, nod know what i mean? hehehehe...

good kill, but you might want to end the story with the actual kill next time...

 

How is a supra owner stating a fact about his car a "ricer"? 900hp on stock internals is very impressive, I dont know about you but around here a supra is a hard find and when you come buy one you can bet its making 500+hp on minimal boost,most supras dont stay stock for long......

 

Well i thought you guys would understand. Didnt knwo you guys like to take apart what i say and rip me up. Sorry but i guess this isnt what i thought it was. you guys makin fun of me and whatever i told u i was venting sorry for postin in here but i mean cmon now dont have to go nuts over me posting in here. and what im saying is a truth ask any supra owner, and when i said that wing is kinda outta hand, i didnt say it was bad, i was jokin with the guy. I need to type more clearly, cuz you guys cant hear me speaking in tone so i guess im sorry for wasting all of your time.

 

Well im not saying the supra isnt impressive with its good OEM internals, but most supra owners bring it up when im talking about racing, just having the forged internals isnt going to make them go faster, if i was talking endurance then it would matter.

 

I like supras however the last guy who tried saying his motors internals could handle 900 hp I said (well prove it because I dont believe it)

Needless to say he fried his supras engine after modding up to around 380-400 hp........

Sorry guys I think the 900 hp on stock internals is purely

only because I dont know anyone who has modded their vehicle that high without doing some sort of work to the engines internals......

I have seen too many engines fry on people believing the manufacturers report on specific vehicles.......

JD POwer is the only unfunded organization you should believe....They base their findings on their customers not on manufacturer hype....

That's great that you don't know anyone personally who's done it, neither do I. But it HAS been done. The record for most hp from an internally stock 2JZ-GTE is 950+whp.

The guy who fried his engine at 380-400 hp is an idiot. Either the engine was in bad condition, or he ran 87 octane or something.

 

I totally agree......Most talkers with these cars dont give them the proper nutrition........

I really want to see one that can hit 900 hp on stock internals.....That would impress the s*** out of me

If anyone has one with this done please let me see.....

if that's rear wheel hp, thats not bad for a lightly/ moderately modded supra turbo...

Just for clarification, when I say "internally stock" I mean stock bottom end. I don't mean "stock motor." That guy has a pretty worked head

 

you could just say short block (most will understand)....

 

I always start a converation with a comments such as

"Hey man your cars kinda fugly!"
Or
"Nice import piece of crap, you stupid chicken ***er!"

If you ever started a conversation with me, were the initial statement was some put down of my car, I would skip the defensive small talk and proceed to the *** kickin.
