Ran a Mach 1

Actually, it wasn't the only run of the night at the local track but it was the funnest for me besides one against a newer vette(not a Z06) which he edge me out at the end. Anyway, we launched about dead even and pretty much stayed that way the whole distance and I barely edged him out by about a fender. Those things are pretty quick, my best time was 8.86 and a 1.90 60ft.(This is a 1/8 mile track) I was pretty happy, that's the first time at the track for me since my gear install and I think there is still a little more in it when I get the launching down right with drag radials. Thought I would share Time for some more top end I believe.

Re: Ran a Mach 1

Sure, the vette ran a 2.11 60ft and trapped 83mph,,the mach1 2.22 60ft. and trapped 79 mph. I was watching the guy in the vette, I don't think he knew how to drive that car all that well, seemed like he was having problems shifting a time or two. But i think he got a little better as the night went on, but I do know he was on street tires..not sure about the mach1, I didn't even notice it was a mach1 until after we ran.

Good runs. Do you know if the Mach was running with stock gears?

I would say yes stock gears, because if I'm not mistaking I think he still had the dealer tag.

Re: Ran a Mach 1

I heard those Mach 1s run in the low 13's (with a good driver)...... Good Kill my man. Makes me feel good about a run I have with a Mach 1 soon to come. The guy just bought it about two months ago and it is his first sports car EVER...... You think I got a shot at him...Check my times in the sig (I will be in the Lightning)

Well, I have to say your chances look pretty good. If it his first sports car ever I doubt he has the hang of how to drive it yet, if he has It will probably be a good run but if you can get him off the line I believe you could hold him off with the times your running.
