ran 13.8@ 102.......where should I be??
My first and only time to the track I ran 13.8 @ 102 w/ 2.22 60'. Considering my dyno #s, where do you think I should be? If I got some drag radials and a TQ arm could I get a 12.9?
The reason I ask is that a stock LS1 can usually get high 12s with a good 60'. I figure my HP is pretty close to a stock LS1.
What do you guys think??

It takes a good driver, clean, cold air, good track prep, and a little bit of a "factory freak" in the car.
Most stock LS1s are mid-13s.
My 60' times are usually 2.0-2.1, for the time in my sig.
A stock LS1 is probably making about 10 more HP and a hair less torque than you are, stock. My car's dyno numbers in my sig. are with a Magnaflow muffler, so it was about 97% stock.
If you're willing to beat on your drivetrain, drag radials should be able to get you down to a 1.7 60', so now you're looking at 13.2-13.3. camzaro28 got it.

Typical stock LS1 chassis dyno numbers are 300-305hp and 315-320 torque. That's on a DynoJet. Remember that every dyno is different, even when it's the same type.
SFB767, did your numbers come from a DynoJet or a Mustang dyno? They seem just a touch low for a typical stock LS1.
Nice time! My previous 95 ran a best 13.979 @ 100 mph flat with the same 60' but no tune, only catback and CAI. To get into the twelves n/a I would think you'd have to get 1.6 second 60 foot jumps, high trap or both. Not going to happen with just drag radials IMHO.
I think SFB767's dyno #'s are on par for an automatic car. My 2000 w/ just a lid dyno'd 294 in 2nd gear... 2.73's.
As for the original poster... your dyno #'s vs. track times do not jive. Your 60' on street tires isn't horrible, and I've seen A4 cars trap 102-104 with about 15-20 less RWHP.
If you are able to, data log the next time you race the car and see what is happening. It's almost as if your car noses over. What ET & MPH dfid it run in the 1/8 mile?

I disagree. RWHP is a decent estimator of trap speed, but it's not very helpful for anything finer than a ballpark ET estimate. 280hp -> 102mph sounds about right given a relatively crappy launch. I'll bet that some practice, working on faster shifts and a better launch, will get him up to 104mph.

Disagree all you want, even 104 MPH is a low trap speed for a manual transmission car making 280-ish at the rear wheels. Unless he's running at a high elevation track, something is amiss.
Maybe I'm missing something, but it sounds like you're working with faulty information.
I run my car all out at the track, dunno about you. But, that's why I go to the track. My information comes from being at the track, drag racing and working on cars with similar mods. My car did 329HP/341TQ on NLP's dyno jet... the night before it ran 12.20's @ 111.5 MPH... and my excuses are - NONE!
My car bone stock did a hair over 104 MPH on a 13.46 pass. Lid and a cut out... 13.20's @ 106-107. I don't consider my results "freakish" either.
I was talking to a friend tonight with a 95' TA, I pointed him to this thread and he agreed 13.8 @ 102 is off. His TA with similar mods and less HP was trapping 105+ and ran 13.5-13.6 with 60's in the same range as the original poster.
I'm not here for a pissing match... I posted to offer some suggestions in hopes of him finding out what is wrong.

I also think your MPH is a little low my freind has a 2000 SS and he is trapping 112 with free mods, LT, cut out, and a lid.
