I was suprised my car held its own pretty well. the other guy was in a 6-speed so i tood him pretty hard off the line. it was a ls1 z28 for sure very nice. i had a car on him through second but as soon as he hit third he blew by me. probably would have had 2 cars on me by 90-100 but i didn't wann go that fast in a 45mph area. It was pretty late at night and not many cars around but i'm still scared to drive that fast here in ontario Cali. The cops out here REEEEAly dont like street racing. I know my 93 is running well when i can get the jump on a ls1 like that. we raced from a dead stop , whch is the most fun i think. Last time i raced a camaro it was pretty much the same outcome but it was a lt1 6-speed. The only downside to this race tonight was that my wife saw the whole thing because i didn't know she was behind me the while time. She yelled at me when we got home and said we were selling my car. I got her to calm down and things are cool. The last time i raced before tonight she was with me. It was a new subaru STI. Those things are beasts off the line but he couldn't put any more distance on me after the launch.

Good "got killed" story. Its nice to see someone can not win a race and still have a good attitude. Too bad your wife got sore over the whole issue. Either way it sounds like you need to invest in more mods. STI's are all about the launch, get some DR's and a Vigilante and you'll pull him nicely out of the hole.

Yeah I like the few times I have race ls1 in my 94 lt1. I always get the jump out in front and it makes me feel good until they come flying past me in third gear. Reminds me of the days when I had my 3.4 and trying to keep up with the 3.8.

BTW Good attitude man...I wish people around hear would act like that
