Raced a C6 Finally!
I have been tryin' to catch one on the highway ever since my H/C motor rebuild. Finally today I was comin back from washing my car on campus and I saw one. He exited with me and we were next to each other on the frontage road. Long story short I was not exactly where I wanted to be in 2nd (around 4K) and he hits it. I pull an immediate car length(despite him jumping), 3rd gear i pull another car, 4th gear I pull one more for a total of around 3 by the time I shut it down around 120. Needless to say I was excited, he motioned to pull into the Exxon and I did. First he asked if I was an LS1(haha), then he asked if I sprayed(hahax2). Then I told him what I had done but he still couldn't believe an LT1 just beat him. Guy said it has an intake and that he ran high 12's at 113 at the track. So I guess that puts me right about where I thought I would be with my new setup and dyno numbers. Only thing to do now is take it to the track! Anyways I was excited and wanted to tell somebody lol. Vive el LT1!

Yeah its hard to find M6 hardtop vettes. They are always convertible and auto's!!!! I looked too for a while when I blew the motor on the ole LT1 but couldn't find one I wanted.
Congratulations on the kill.
Too bad the Corvette guy didn't seem to know that it's not only LSx motors that can be fast when N/A. My brother is having a CC306 cammed LT1 put into a '69 Camaro. I think they're called resto mod or something like that. Old car, but new parts.
Ditto for me. The guys who had hardtop C5s said they were rare (maybe they are) and were asking darn near Z06 money - so I got a Z06 instead
