raced 70s z28s

i raced 2 different z28s this weekend both mid 70s models or so. 1st 1 i raced from a 30-35mph roll and had 2 cars on him by 60 or so before shutting down. the second 1 i raced was similar results, but the 2nd was a little faster. i talked to the owner of the 2nd z28 and he said he had headers and thats about it. he also said he owned a 02 WS6 with headers and nitrous that ran about 12s or so. i wouldve loved to see the WS6, but i dont think i wouldve done as well in a race lol. good races though, but how do u guys think i did against the z28s, how fast are 70s z28s?

You did pretty good, buy I think the mid 70's camaro were the least powerful of all the camaro's. It had to do with rising insurance prices and smog crap. But good kill !!!

Yep, mid-70's were not good to muscle cars. Then again, there aren't many mid-70's cars (in the hands of performance enthusiasts) that are "bone stock". Most are at least on a rebuilt engine by now. So I don't know about that comparison.

Tough to say "how fast they are" for the reasons mentioned. 1/4 mile wise, and based on guys local to me with these cars... I'd say they can go anywhere from 9-18 seconds.
