Race against buddies 2000 GT!

For those that dont know or read the LT1 tech section. I had a cam install about 6 months ago and it has been a total nightmare. Ive had problem after problem. I raced my buddies 2000 GT, all it has is a cai, pulley's, and x pipe, its also a stick. I ran him about 1 month ago and we bumped them off from 50-90ish and I could only pull him by 1.5 cars. Well, I just got my car fixed. I had 0 compression on 2 cylinders cause the RR's were adjusted to tight. So I beat him on 6 cylinders. That makes me feel good. Anyways, I just got the car back yesterday and we raced again to see what difference the FIX made. From the same speeds, about 50-100 I put 6 cars on him easily then let out. I still need to get new 02's cause Im sure they are bad from the raw fuel being dumped into the motor along with all the carbon build up in there now. Cant wait to run him again when the motor cleans up a bit and I get the new 02's in.

I really dont just go after him cause I know I can beat him. I justed wanted to see how much of a difference it made in my car since it was finally running right. I would like to see what the new 02's would do.

I didnt consider that a smartass remark. My car should be right around 12.3's-.4's on motor and with the spray low 11's.

Antz,
LT1Ponykilla I *think* realized that my comment was not by any means meant as derogatory. Don't read too much into it bro.... I said good kill and that's what I meant because it sounds like he has a good running car and I'm glad to hear that all the bugs are worked out.

Thanks and I was impressed with that being my 1 of 2 shakedown runs (new combo/suspension, etc) and wasn't running the car that hard nor trying to break any records. I also left everything in the trunk (spare, jack, subwoofer box, etc) and had a full tank of fuel. The car def has alot more in it. Take care.

I imagine that 1BadassGT has more e/t and MPH in that car. Has run someone from this board (will remain nameless) that has run much better times and MPH (115/116mph) from a roll and walked away from him. Tim just switched to a completely different driveline and is still learning to drive it. Make no mistake, his, "Bolt On......." GT is alot faster than meets the eye.

BTW, nice kill!

Nick,
You're exactly right bud. I know the car has more mph/ET's in it and the driver sucked. Once I get my driving/tires up to par, it will be time to turn up the heat a little
