Pre 99 GT vs 2000 v6 Camaro with $0 mods...

My car is pretty much 2000, 5-speed camaro, open diffy, its not really lightweight. Fully loaded except for t-tops, leather, and an automatic. Scales cloesed again tonight But I assume 3300-3400 range without driver...

Mods...
-Descreened MAF
-Open TB(before you guys ask, the MAF is incorporated in the TB on '00 v6s)
-! spare and jack
-! drivebelt
-open exhaust(unbolted at the start of the Driveshaft, it feels like it actually hurt me more then helped)

All free, well did need a 15mm wrench for the exhaust, and I used my key to pop the pins out on the airbox

Him, at least exhasut, assuming H-pipe, and maybe at least an intake, not sure if auto or 5-speed, I will assume an auto.

WE were getting to stage, I go to light up the tire(open diffy) and clean it off a little, stall, car, accidently put it in 3rd(DOH!)

I put it in 1st, quick smoke of the tire...

We line up, last run of the night

He gets me at the light I am still a little embarrassed from the burnout, and the track is rushing cars through since there was a wreck(Kumar's silver Ls1 convertable for the FL section people)

He takes off, I launch, decent hook room for improvement, but I start pulling I go past him and start putting lenths and lenghts on him down the track...

In the end this was our runs... I was in the left lane...

R/t .860 .657
60' 2.169 2.296
330 6.098 6.575
1/8 9.384 20.019
mph 74.96 71.95
1000 12.204 12.994
1/4 14.582 15.491
mph 94.88 90.61

left .7064

He lighted me by 2/10ths and I still beat him by 7/10ths on a v8 Mustang with a v6

Thats my new personal best time ever, slightly better then my old time, and only my 4th time to the track in this car.

good kill, sounds like a quick v6. as for the mustang it most likely was more stock than you think maybe just mufflers something, and an auto, i seen the 96-98 GT's autos trap as low as 90mph stock as well.

My Grand Marquis runs 9.9 @ 73 in the 1/8th - I can't wait to have a run-in like that.

I'll be taking it to the 1/4 next week just for fun.

It's an 01 LSE, meaning the buckets & center console & shifter like a Marauder. It's just the SOHC 4.6 but being an 01 it has the PI heads.

I've added a ported upper intake (I like it no matter what the current controversy regarding its effectiveness) and a Superchips Microtuner. The LSE comes standard with 3.23 gears and the handling & performance package, as well as the same torque converter as the Mustang GT. I'll soon replace the open diff with a Torsen limited slip. After that will be a triple plate torque converter from Precision. That should run mid 14s and surprise lots of people. Then comes the blower, once I stop spending money on the Stealth long enough to throw $5k at the family car.

Yeah, it's supposed to be the daily driver but I can't leave any car alone

the marquis will probablyy run about 92 mph in the 1/4, good enough for a high 14.
