The pic of the turbo was pretty fuggin' lame. He claimed it was an SC61, but the pic I saw clearly showed a 2.5" inlet. Here is the picture. That look like a 3" inlet to you?

I told him to invite him to our track rental at Atco on October 28th (we still had slots then) and asked him if it was alright for me to get a "friend of a friend" with an 8-second C5 to run him.
After that, he had another "friend" in S. Jersey who wanted to run me. He claimed he was going to set up the race the weekend of Sept. 10th. I couldn't do it, but PM'd him a few weeks later. I PM'd him half a dozen times over a three week period and never got a response.
He's lame, and probably just another internet story teller.

If he wanted to fool people, why not omit showing the parts to people, then put them on his "car" in a way that doesn't showcase them? If only there was a name for that......

I think that saying you have a friends that will race you is the gayist thing that anyone can say. You know what I mean. I've been drag racing for 10 years and I have become friendly with some of the big names in mustang racing such as Jimmy Larocca,Brian Sorby,Eric laferierre, And Manny Bugungia to name just a few.
Jimmy and Eric have built and tuned some of the fastest stangs' in the Northeast and Brian and Manny have 7 second 10.5" tire stangs. Manny has just about wrapped up the NMRA super street outlaw class championship .
In the 6 years I've been on this site this is the first time I ever mentioned knowing anyone like that.
In the end its not how fast your friends car is its how fast YOUR car is.

It spun a rod bearing a few months back. Just now getting it back together with a new shortblock.
150 shot going ontop of the cam also this winter. Looking for 550rwhp on the juice. Hopefully mid to high 10's depending on the track.
I will keep you guys posted.
I also turn 19 this fall, and am finally establishing some credit. Might be leaving my car alone after the nitrous, and using it for a daily driver. That along with a lightning I've had my sights on.
