One out three not bad!?

This shocked me a little...
...last Sunday I was out to ice cream with my fiance' and some friends. There was a group of college students in the parking lot. One of them was driving a 2000 Z28 and he kept eyeballing my TA. When he left he drove by and pitched it sideways, his car sounded healthy as hell, but I decided that I would follow him and see how my near stock LT1 would hang.
When I caught up to him he immediately hit it, we were going about 55-60, and I was in third gear. He pulled away hard...probably three cars or so. We turned at the next traffic light and he hit it right as he turned (I was already behind him, at about 35mph) and again he pulled on me.
Finally I caught him at a set of train tracks, we both slowed down, and right after the tracks we were dead even and we hit it at about the same time. I jumped out on him about a car and a half. We went to about 85 mph and I was still in front of him by about a car. We pulled over and I was shocked to see that he had a cut out, FIPK k&n, smooth bellow. His car was an automatic.
Too much fun!
