ok what is this all about?

ok, coming to work today I pulled up to a stoplight next to a 5.0 notchback Stang...I knew it was on as he had been revving at me before we got there, so I was ready for it. I saw the light going the other direction turn red, which means our light was coming soon, so I got ready to go...only to find out that the Stang had left already! A good 5 seconds before our light turned green he left, running the red of course. I had no interest in trying to keep up after that (I wasn't going to run the red for it) but I guess I am a bit confused: Was there a meeting or something that I missed saying that this stuff was OK now? What happened to waiting for the light so you could both go together? Is this normal now or something? The sad thing is he probably went bragging to his buddies that he smoked a Trans Am this morning...

You probably could have still waited for the green light and beat him anyways. Some people are just dumb, they have to cheat to make themselves feel better about their cars.

He probably got too anxious and screwed up.....I know I get that way at the track when I go....legs all bouncy and what not. Guess that means he reeeaaaallly red-lighted!

LOL.....................

I loved that story!!!!

The same way I killed a Z-28 in my V-6.
Raining. The road goes up good 10 degrees. (may be more) I am standing on the strip before the bridge, which is over the freeway.
Red Z-28 (i am also red) pulls up and revs. I knew I am going to loose. I told myself: "Ok, let's loose with a head up, not down."
We waited for the green.........and waited.....and waited....

THE GREEN IS LIGHT !!!!

I start myself with 1900+2200 rpm. I switch to 2nd.... I look in my mirror and see the z-28 still sitting there and fish-tailing. I was like: "Damn....". So after that accident, I awarded myself a "SUPER STAR OF Z-28 KILLERS".

CAN YOU BEAT ME ?????

with respect,
Max.
