not a great kill, but my first of the season!
not a great kill, but my first of the season!
Not much of a race, but its the first one Ive had since getting my car back on the road after 2 months sitting in the garage waiting for a msd opti.
Im coming off the highway on the left lane of the offramp, and slip behind a black (stock) RSX-S to pass a slower car in my lane. He looks up in his rearview, downshifts and hits it. I pause to laugh for a moment, went WOT and nearly rammed his car a few times before pulling out to blow by him. At the lights, he rolled up next to me with his window down and all I did was laugh in his face. In retrospect, I regret doing that.. it was a bit of an a-hole thing to do b/c he turned out to be pretty cool.
Light turns green and we pull on to the street. He races up to get next to me and we end up at a red light together. I felt bad about laughing at him earlier and tell him "nice car" and that it will be quick once he gets some mods on it. He says "Yah, I knew I was going to get owned, but I just had to try. Wanna go one more time?". Me:
"SURE".
He prompty rolls up his windows, as if the reduced drag will make any sort of difference. He did nothing but spin through the intersection and I was aleady bus lengths away in 2nd gear. He eventually got next to me again and we exchanged thumbs up.
He was a cool guy, but I think he had the impression that it would have been a lot closer since according to internet lore, stock lt1's vs rsx-s' is a drivers race (I have a few bolt on's though)

Good kill man,
Yeah, laughing was a little assy at first, but you were cool after that so dont sweat it. Besides... most of them deserve to be laughed at because they are serious when they believe they can outrun GMs finest.
