It did 259/289 when I first got it. Only mod on the car at that time was the cat delete and the skip shift had been eliminated.
I haven't been back to get it dyno'd but I'd be surprised if it did much more than 300. Still on factory 1.5 rr's, stock w/p, stock tb, and the tune isnt all that great. I wouldn't consider it anything more than a minor bolt on car.
The car stock wouldn't do any better than 14.30 at 97 with a 2.1 60' from what I can remember.

There's another guy on here that's at 12.5's with bolt on's only, nothing special about his setup... can't remember his name but he posts often... plus with an almost -400 DA it makes it even more likely.... might be running with some weight reduction though, fiberglass hood.. no spare or jack, maybe a back seat delete.

Longtube headers, exhaust, gears, tune, slicks, m6, -400 DA, great driver = mid to high 12's all day
I love how everyone is always so skeptical if anyone has a good run with an LT1... if it's anything away from the norm then "there's no way" but if it's an LS1 and it breaks away from the norm then the reason becomes "it's an LS1, they have so much potential it probably did run 11's with just a lid"

It's not the ETs that are unusual. That's a result of traction and gears. Traps tell the story of horsepower production and they went up a lot.
Like the OP said, the best traps before were 12 mph slower. That means over 100 hp came from somewhere or there was a lot of weight reduction in between. That's the great thing about physics -- it never changes. If the car gets x amount faster it took y amount of power to get it there.
I wonder if there's some head work in there or something? You never know what goodies the original owner left for you.

After the LT/ORY and said weight I took out, in the heat of the summer did 107-108.
Now with and cool air put me up about 110.
My first pass earlier that night was a 14.1 on a 2.99 60' (just seeing how the track felt) with the exact same mph as my best pass.
I'm positive the heads have never been off. My brother bought it from the original owner, which was a middle aged lady, and I bought the car from my brother.
And we all know a 359/389 hp car at 3450 race weight would trap way higher than 109. I'd guess more along the lines of 115-116 with the 6 speed. I don't know where this extra 100hp figure came from...

You can't picture the middle aged lady wrenching on the car?
