New Mustangs same old whimps

Im back home on spring break and went out to get some food with my dad last night. I pull up to a stop light and this little ricer is beside me. The guy revs his engine and i just started laughing at him. He does the a typ rice thing and takes off hard as i dirve normally. The next light ahead turns red and i am up beside him again. I dont plan on busting this poor kids bubble about how good his car is but then a brand new mustang pulls up in between (3 lane road). I have yet to play with a new one so i instally get ready. I throw him a rev and he rolls his window down. I put mine down and all he can say is "not a chance". He then proceeds to put his tail in between his legs and does nothing when the light turns. SO i go ahead and kill the ricer. I can understand while they wont man up. Oh well one day ill have some fun.

Ive turned down alot of races when there were alot of cops in the area. Sometimes im not in the mood but i never rolled down the window to say im not gonna race. i just let them take off and hope to see a cop around the corner to pull them over. Cops here a d***heads and they will shoot anyone that commits a misdemeanor, not joking.

I just race a brand new 05 GT at the track. Had 2000 miles and he ran dead even with me in the LT1"2:73's". Of course I do have a CAI. He had a 5 speed. He ran a 13.7@102 as did I. They should be faster though, for the most part.

Yeah they could be trouble for a LT1 but a nicly modded LS1 like mine wont have any issues shown who boss.

A stock LS1 should have no issue letalone a lightly modded one.
My LS1 ran 13.2@108 like nothing bone stock on street tires nursing it off the line.

Re: New Mustangs same old whimps

The torque management on the 05-06 GT's hurt them. A handheld tuner is the first mod I'd do if I owned one. I was outrun in my 94 T/A by an auto. 05 GT with a tuner by a fender. At the time my car ran 13.2 @ 103 mph with all the bolt ons including a hot cam and rr's. The automatics are 5 speeds rather than 4 speeds. While racing the 05 it sounded like it was a manual trans. the way it shifted.
Stock for stock a new GT is no match for a LS1. They are definitely capable of beating a stock lt1 though. Good Kill

Cammed LT1 trapping 103?..hmm..where you untuned? If you where cammed you shouldnt have had any problem taking a 05.

I was with my friend in his 03 cobra (pully, exhaust). He raced some 05+ GT and got his *** handed to him. Ends up the guy had a procharger and exhaust. Was a cool guy, we talked to him at a gas station.

I should be able to beat em by the summer, looking to do Hooker headers, K&N CAI, SLP Loudmouth, and high flow cats, maybe alittle more depending on how the bank account is looking

I had a PCMFORLESS tune. I had the stock gears (3.23's) and no stall, but your missing the point. I wouldn't have thought that he had a chance regardless but I couldn't keep the lead. He pulled me in second gear which was a strong gear for me. I actually think the torgue management allows the 05-06 mustangs to launch better without spinning too. I'm not just saying this because I own a Ford either. I have better things to do than make stuff up. Just sharing my experiences.

Sure you didnt accidently put the stock cam back in? I trapped 105mph with just CAI, exhaust, and rockers

Although if I were stock I wouldnt be acting cocky around one, thats a good chance for an *** whooping.

Re: New Mustangs same old whimps

I know that the car should have been faster than it was but it wasn't. I sincerely wish it would have been faster but it wasn't. I spent alot of $$ to make it fast but it wasn't.
It never ran great due to optispark problems. I went through 4 optis in 6 months. The day I sold the car was the only day the car felt 100%.....figures. Hell my Mach ran 13.319 @ 106.42 stock. As a matter of fact, I had both cars for about 2 weeks and me and a friend raced the 2 cars 4 times againest each other to see where the Mach stood. The verdict was 2 for the T/A and 2 for the Mach (the mustang was tricky on street tires to launch). Perhaps I got a lemon? However the LT1 was rebuilt so I doubt it.
