My Z vs. Dunebuggy

My friends got a street legal dunebuggy hes been working on for quite a while and just got it finished. It has an amazing power to weight ratio. Just over 100hp weighing in under 800 lbs w/ him. Its got a 4 speed manual and does wheelies easily. A lot of fun to drive. Well, he said he raced a Vette and smoked it in front of some other people... I didn't ruin it for him but today we had a few runs.

That thing is pretty quick but i always pulled ahead. We were doing short distance stuff and from a roll and i got him in just about everything. I actually thing a4 w/ 2.73s was ideal vs him becuase for the short stuff I didn't waste any time shifting and stayed in 1st or 2nd and he had to get up to 3rd.

My only problem was his hooked up a whole lot better than mine so as soon as we went, hed start moving before me and itd take me a second to bite and then id reel him in.

I was impressed by it, hes got another engine hes gonna swap in a in a few days thats ported and all the goodies, ill see how that goes.

Re: My Z vs. Dunebuggy

The power to weight ratio sounds like me on a harley..weightwise. He should put at least a 5 speed in there. That with a new engine will be fast as hell
