On the way home from work last week, on a pretty busy 4 lane street they are doing construction and there is a redlight where the outer two lanes end about 1/8th of a mile after the light. Well I ussually just sit in one of the inner two lanes and wait my turn and cuss all the people flying by in the outer two laned merging crazily in front of me, but that day it was two lines of trafic for at least 100 yards and nobody was in the lane to my right and i THOUGT the first vehicle in my lane was an 18 wheeler so im like i can pull in front of him and cause no trouble at all!!!!! but when i get to the light there was a little slammed hatchback civic with a fartpipe He keeps letting out his clutch then rolling back a little but im paying him no real attention. so when the light changes i have no intention of trying too speed off in front of him and pull out normally. well i guess me pulling out normally made him think i was gonna make a run for it and when i get to his door he floors it, so when he does I DO TOO, and as soon as i punched the gas i swear i jumped a car on him cause when i looked back he was already in in my rear view mirror, the funny thing was after i had merged and shut down i still hear the guy gunning his car to catch up!!! I know its nothing to be proud of but what was he thinking!!!

Also i didnt have the cutout at the time!!!

 

Lots of guys just like to see our cars run. Of course, there are always the few who really think they stand a chance... but for the most part I think they use other cars as a guage to how fast theirs are.

Very true. I always like to see cars way faster than me run and dust me. Then I know the real world difference between 280 horses and what they have.

 

I know exactly where that construction is. I was visiting my other home in Williamsburg over the summer. It's dangerous as hell right there with people jumping over at the last minute.

 

I always have fun in my winterbeaters. I race anyone that looks at me. Needless to say, they have no idea of what I have at home in the garage.

Yep, where mercury meets I-64! and i know its not safe and i dont ussually do it but i thought there was an 18wheeler in the front! Speaking of beaters my wifes car is a 2000 Kia Spectra And it is sorta a sportier model but ricers aways try to race me when im in it!! and i alway think If only i'd drove my car today!!!!! and ive noticed that ricers ease out of redlights now that ive got the cutout installed

 

That happens to me alot. Theres a black GTI in my town he always revs at me. One night i was trailering my 9 second Saleen to my friends garage and he started reving it at it.I work with one of his friends. I told him about it like whats he doing reving at a 9 second car.He said he told him about my 'stang but he told him he thinks he can give my 2000 T/A a good run.Then he told me he was going to the track with it. I told him he needs to run at least low 13's to have a chance with my T/A. Well it only ended up running 14.7.
