My 94Z Vs Late Model Dakota 5.9rt

Well a buddy of mine setup this race, We got oout on the highway went from a roll three times... His mods are headers, intake, nocats, exhaust,150shot, and something else..

1st Race.. We went from a 35 to 45 mph roll I think, went on three honks I pulled a car and half immediatley, then he starts creeping up to my back bumper, then i manually shift to drive and walk him to around 100 or so put about 3 or 4 cars...

2nd Race.. went from a higher roll Instantley pull him hard Put about 5 to6 cars to 115 to 120mph

3rd race 50 roll to 120 same results as above?

I heard these trucks run mid 15's stock... I have raced just stock or near stock ones and put 10+ cars on them from a dead stop

Those trucks have nothing. They had an article on some modded one's a while back in a car mag and the best one (with about everything you could think of and a big shot of nitrous) only ran like a 13.9 or 13.8. In stock form the amount of power they put to the wheels is pathetic.

They make some great tq to the wheels. But all that's good for is a smoke show. They are deathly slow. I raced an extended cab one with exhaust from the headers back,CAI and a shift kit. I waxed him so bad I didn't think he was racing til he told me it was on the floor the whole time. I was stock down to the paper filter in my 95' Z.
