My '94 Bronco vs a '98 Monte Carlo.
I was driving home from work at 12am, and my bud was meeting me up on the 400 so we can race. I am in front getting onto the onramp, and I make sure we are going nice and slow so all 330lb's of torque from my beast would count; we are doing about 40-45. We get on the 400 and as soon as he gets next to me he punches it. I punch it. Eric (Mr. Monte Carlo) is by my left wheel. 50, 55, 60.. he's at my wheel.. 70, 80, 85 (my speedo doesn't go any higher), and he is at my left wheel. The tranny shifts to O/D, so I put it into third thinking I will have a little more pep. Right as I click it into third, I say "Fu*k it", and decide to go back to O/D. BAD IDEA. Eric pulls on me as my POS f*cking E4OD tranny try's to decide which gear to go to. By then, Eric is at my drivers door. I say "sh*t", and figure I should downshift again to pick up for lost speed. The tranny fumbles some more. Another bad move on my behalf. By now, Eric's rear-end is by my front tires. I'm screwed as of now.
Yup.
EDIT: The Monte is a 3.4 I believe and my Bronco has has a 170k mile 351W in it.
