This race was last fall but it is a good one and i felt like sharing. My car was basically stock at this time except for a cold air intake and Borla exhuast. I was sittin in my car outside Best Buy with my girlfriend waitin for my friend to come out. Meanwhile this guy and his chick and another guy walk by my car and one guy quitly says "Mustangs rule" and walks on and gets into the drivers seat of this Black 99+ Mustang GT. I think it was a 5 speed but i am not sure. So i turn on the car and give him a nice rev through the Borla. So he starts his up and pulls up next to me and says "hey you wanna run that **** box" and i am like sure. So he says "alright let me take my friend over to the other side of the mall so he can get his car and ill be back in a few" so i wait for a few minutes and he comes back and his other friend pulls up in a newer Camaro SS, it was a pretty nice car. But it was me and the Mustang that were gonna go at it. So we leave and pull out onto the highway in a single file line. Me and then the mustang and then the SS. We turn onto this side street and stop and the kid in the SS yells "ok on the third honk you guys go for it" so i wait and the third honk comes before i know it and he gets me off the line, but by the end of first we bark the tires right next to each other and by the end of second i had pulled about 2 cars and then out of knowwhere the SS goes screaming past us on the left side. I just laughed and looked back at the Mustang now several cars back. The mustang pulls up next to me after its over and says "Dang i figured you would have beat me worse then that" and i explained that i wasnt even paying attention and got a late start. Needless to say i saw him that night at the local cruisin strip and he wouldnt even look at me and then i am pretty sure he just left bc he knew i was going to mess with him. Sorry this is so long but i figured you guys would get a kick out of this one.

 

I got a kick out of reading it. Glad that you beat the guy cause he sounded like he was far too cocky to begin with. Good job putting him in his place.

 

Agreed. Seems like the people with the slowest cars talk the most trash!

 

Ida popped him in the grill when he called my car a sh!tbox, he had no chance against his buddys LS1 so I guess he thought he could pick on you...Like Tim said glad you put that pric in his place
