Me vs. LS2 GTO!

This was a little more interested then the LS2 Vette race... not a complete race, AGAIN! But still a little more interesting! We're heading to Ave P in Newark (This big *** race spot... or should I say rice spot. BADASS cars sometimes though... man!). It just so happens that out of the 200493030304930304 Hondas! I see a 6.0 Badge?! WTF?! DuDE!!

I gotta get to this dudes side... so with an obnoxious road, I get to his side. I immediately compliment his car... black LS2. oh man! He says it's brand new and has about 162 miles on it... so he's not heading to the spot, he's just going home. My friend in my passenger seat is INSISTING that he will race me over the bridge. So we are taking it easy, trying to cruise passed cops... haha

The bridge is just one more left to go! We take start the left, never shifting into 2nd... doing about 35 or so in first... I WAIT for him to hit it, so i'm not racing myself here... haha

I see it start to push (Can't hear anyones car in mine, haha) so I hit it...

I immediate end his baby pull... I throw 2nd REAL slow (Stock driveline) and keep my strong pull! Man... sweet! I throw 3rd even slower... and keep the nice pull (About 3 1/2 cars back!) I basically shut down after I throw 3rd... maybe doing about 90-100mph now.

I had 2 passengers, my spare, and 12 quarts of oil in the trunk. GTO was by himself... a big dude but not equal to my passenger weight.

Fun race though... I like how my car is performing. I still have stock gears as well... and throwing my shifts like a baby. :-)

Re: Me vs. LS2 GTO!

Sounds like you need traction bad, I pulled a LS2 GTO like a freight train last summer on my old combo.

Re: Me vs. LS2 GTO!

Yea... I was close to the same. I wonder why? I can't tell if I spin, and I can't hear my tires spinning. haha

It was a strong steady pull though... maybe I am spinning. I have no idea. I never brought it to the track either so I have no idea what kind of traps i'm running
