Me Vs. Lightning

me: mods in sig

Lightning: bone stock Think it was an 02 or 03??

1st race. From about a 20 roll. I immediatly jump about car on him and pretty much stays there tell about 90 then we shut off.

2nd run. from a stop. Light turns green and we both it it about the same time and he slowly pulls ahead and by the time he we shut off around 90 or so he was about a car and a half infront of me.

3nd run from a stop. I get him at the light and I jump about a car or so on him and stay there, then around 90-100 he starts to pull then about the time we reach 110 he stops pulling and at that time im at his rear corner panel.

I thought i was going to be beat by alot more then what happened when i 1st went to race him, but I'm pretty happy with the results, atleast i beat him once .

Does anyone have any info on the lightnings? Horsepower, track times, ect? I would love to know.

I have a vague answer, but I believe the HP is 390 and the track times are mid-low 13's. Educated guess....

My girlfriends dad was telling me about this guy that has a lightning and the guy said he could beat new Camaro's all day long. So I went on the net looking to see what they ran and all I could find was low 14's high 13's with a different pulley. But Ive never seen one at the track so I dont know.

I then raced that guy (its posted on this board) and I beat him pretty bad. My mods are in the sig minus the Headers and ORY I havent istalled them yet, and my best time is 13.2

when we pulled upp to the next light I asked and he said just a pulley for performance, and the rest was sound and lighting. So he might of had extra weight in that thing depending on how much extra sound he had.

I figure my L to be making 360/440 SAE @ the wheels about now and I am not far from stock at all...K&N panel filter, $1 boost by-pass and 0W-20 syn oil.

No times yet being I bought it in December, put I am expecting mid 13's@101-102 MPH.

If he had a pulley, I bet he has the other little things that make the L's run. If he did have that stuff and you were remotely near him, he had something wrong.

I have learned to watch out for Lightnings. My buddy has a 2000 Black Lightning w/ a 6# pulley, Bassani Cat-Back, CAI, and a chip. I have seen him at the track pull mid 12's several times.
