Well I guess i was racing this guy in a 95 5.0 and i whooped him so badly that he gets so mad that he decides to follow me. I pulled up to a gas station and he stops next to me and asks me if i want to race a real car. Im all like wat do u have. He says he has a 89 5.0 with shaved ported heads. He said everything else was stock. its a 6 speed. how do you guys think i will fair with the mods i have in my sig plus ill be in drag radials and he has street tires.

 

You shouldnt waste your time with poor sports like that.

he might not be telling you everything. might be one worked ***** of a 5.0, have a 83 around here 400rwhp, not including 300 shot of spray. claims he can run high 9's with the spray.

If he's not lying, he'd have no chance. Did you happen to tell him your mods? If he thinks you're stock, that might make him cocky. In any case, it's not cool to follow you around for no reason.

 

well my car does look stock, and its not that loud yet unless the cutout is open. so yea. its a sleeper.

 

oh and yea thats freakin weird that he followed me. really odd, i bet he though i was stock or something, i was just toying with his crap stang. he also says he runs 13's here in el paso on street tires. at sea level were talking about mid to low 12s

 

His mustang is a 6spd? no stang came with a 6 speed until the 03 cobra came out. If hes swapped a 6spd in it then its hard telling what else hes put in it. 5.0s are tricky they are either slow or really fast. I would be careful it doesnt take much money to make those things quick,but then again ive ran across some in my town with e303 and such cams that i gun down pretty easy.

 

It's just the way the guy acted that makes me think he's not so fast.

 

I cant believe someone would go to all the time, trouble and money to swap a T-56 into a Fox and do nothing else but mill his heads.

I personaly believe all 5.0Ls came from the factory with an O/R H or X, Flowmasters, a gear and a shifter. I think a cam and an intake were possible options as well.

If all he truly has are milled heads he probably got like 220 rwhp and if he can drive and the car actually is running like its supposed to, he might see a mid 13 on a slick. But were talking a stretch absolutly best possible scenario.

Most likley its got the afor mentioned mods from the factory and milled heads. He probably a douche with worn out stock suspension (which can help if its just the back shocks that are done) bald tires and ego that just wont quit. "Its got a 5.0 Bitch, thats all you need to know". Welcome him to the site of your tail lights and kindly take his money.
