Mach 1 vs. WS6 TA
Mach 1 vs. WS6 TA
I was stopped at a light on my way into work a couple of nights ago. I had only been awake for a half hour or so, so I was kinda zoned out. The light turned green and I heard this screeching next to me, so, naturally I looked to see what the hell was kicking my ***, and it turned out to be a WS6. I thought, "damn, that dude killed me."
Well, I figured out that I was actually supposed to be racing the dude, so at the next light I just let him have it. I hooked beautifully and had a half car or so on him through first, and by the time second was wound out I had around two car lengths on him. It may have been more or less, but I had to watch the road so I'm not positive.
I could only assume that it was an LT1, but I didn't know for sure. When he was beside me at the second light I saw that he had some kind of writing on the rear window, but I couldn't see what it was. Well, I go to the gym most days when I get out of work and I always go through the Denny's parking lot to get there. It turns out that this dude either works there or eats there, 'cause his car was there (and is quite often.) Anyway, I recognized it because of the writing on the window (just a bunch of numbers and letters or somesuch.) I got a good look at it and the front end is a bit smashed up, so maybe that's why I beat him.
Oh, and I'm really not sure about the difference in the bodies of LT1's vs. LS1's, so I'm not sure if it was an LT1.

Re: Mach 1 vs. WS6 TA
Werd. Those LS1s are gorgeous. And if it was an LS1 WS6 I don't think this thread would exist because you guys would have been pretty even with talented drivers. I hate to say it but I can see you walking an LT1 like that.
I need some more mods so that I can stay with all this new technology coming out. Hell, even the Chrysler 300C would run right with a stock LT1. I believe that Motor Trend tested the 300C at 14.0@100 in the 1/4.

Re: Mach 1 vs. WS6 TA
LS1's had round amber parking parking lights on the sides of the front bumper, LT1's did not. Also, seeing as how it was a WS6 you said, the LS1's have a "double-decker" hood, so-to-speak, with 4 tiny little individual inlets, as opposed to the non ram-air of 2. If you happened to see the back end when he sped away before you guys actually raced, the LS1 has round back-up lights that appear to be more seperate from the brake lights, as opposed to the rectangular LT1 back-up lights. Hope this helps

MT ran a 14.0 on their test vehicle, but then after that the best they could get out of a production 300C is 14.5, they even brought up that the earlier test vehicle may have been a ringer.
Re: Mach 1 vs. WS6 TA
Those 300Cs are damn nice though. I bet an exhaust would really wake them up because they are damn near silent in stock trim. My dad and I had the salesman fire one up for us and it was incredibly quiet. Definitely not a performance sound there. Anyway, back to the original topic. How much power is the Mach rated at and what are some normal dyno numbers for a stock one? I think mine would dyno about 270-275 probably considering I can hang with a stock LS1 longer than its driver would want me to
