LT4 vs. LS1

I find it kind of fun owning the older LTx cars because some of the LS1 drivers think that if it is not an LS1 it is slow.

So I was pulling away from a light and noticed that a new Vette was behind me. The light changes and as soon as the other lane opens up the LS1 Vette tries to do a flybye around me so he had the jump on me. When he got to my rear fender I floored it and by 120-125mph I had a bus length or more on him so I shut it down. The faster I went the more I gained. I was kind of suprised that the LS1 did not start to do better past 70mph. I showed him no mercy and powershifted every gear. My car felt really good.

The LS1 Vette was a convertable and was probably stock (maybe a cat-back). A lot of convertables have 2.73 gears too. It was the first race I have had with the new style Vettes.

He thought he would beat me because my car is the old style Vette and mine looks stock. I even have a stock cat-back. Most LS1 Vette owners really think the C4 Vettes are so slow and inferior.

Nice car, i like your website, one question why did you buy so many T/a's? You had a 95, 96, and 98. What made you get rid of them so quickly?

I wouldn't mind having a C4 Vette. Two question for you. Where did you get that sweet ramp for your car in your garage and how much?

The 95 got wrecked and bought a 96 auto. I did not really like the auto and the of course the LS1 came out and I found a 6-speed.

The ramp is a Kwik Lift http://www.kwiklift.com/. I got it for $750 used.

I find it odd no one has ever noticed my 2 caliper per wheel braking system which is noted on my website. No one has ever noticed on the street either.

Awesome car man, I like the nicely done C4's. I like your old '78 T/As too.

Very nice car. Nice kill as well. Yes, a lot of corvette owners are very cocky. I would defenetly own a C4 especially one like yours.

LS1 is more poweful then the LT4, not by much though..If it was a hardtopped 6spd he probably would have began to pull. Good Kill

lt4are fast

Yes I was wondering your dyno is that current, My car with everything on except headers dynoed 291horses and 321 pounds of torque, Headers woke it up in sig now... and your car is light...... oh yea the point is there are a couple of lt4s here in dalls and zr1s that race for topend and they are quick i think the c4 has more topend than a c5 vette, just that the c5 runs quicker

and a zr1 stock has more topend than a z06 thats the pros and cons of c4 vs c5......

The C5 has a higher top end than the ZO6 as well due to tranny gearing (174mph vs 171mph).
