LT1 vs. SRT-8
My neighbor has a Charger SRT-8 and bone stock at Gateway it ran a best of 13.5 @105-107. The programing won't let it launch that hard. On the street it will not break them loose, but it will let you brake torque. So I say you at first, but then it will be coming up on you quick. I assume you trap ~102-103 with the mods listed. I do think that you would win in the 1/4, but the street I think him, especially after 95-100.
They trap 105-108. He could beat you, especially if you don't launch well. I would say that you are the underdog in this one.
If you launch well, it will take him quite a while to catch up and pass you though.

I don't know...I think he should rape you to 60, then you should start catching. End result should be a drivers race, but those things 425hp/420tq, and despite tipping the scales at almost 4200lbs, they have some giddy up.
I'd love to hear the reasoning why it wouldn't be close. Obviously the OP's car has the advantage off the line. He's got drag radials and a high stall converter. His car is meant to launch with that setup.
Then we have the power side of the equation. I don't see an LT1 with just exhaust mods trapping more than 103-105 mph. Meanwhile, 300C's (the SRT8s of course) have done 108-109 in various tests. They're no slouch at launching either but can't hold a candle to a car set up like the OP's.
So there you have it. It's a guaranteed win for the Camaro off the line and it all depends on how close the 300C can stay at the beginning as to whether it'll be able to pull ahead before the end of the track. Make no mistake though -- the 300C will be coming back on the top end.

Hopefully it will work out some time. He doesnt drive it every day and neither do I ( no rain
) Plus we dont work the same hours. Oh well... Most of you guys have reinforced my original thinking that I should get him off the line and hopefully hold him off depending on his launch.
