Lt1 vs Lexus GS400
On the way home from the gym, my buddy driving his 00 GT mustang and I were cruising home on a 3 lane road on the far right. A black Lexus GS400 was behind me, and pulls out and does a WOT flyby on my left with the girl passenger giving me a big smirk as they pass. Im always up to play, so I play catch up - my buddy doesnt.
So I cruise over on his left at about 80 kph. I want to pull up next to him to make sure that its "on", but before I can pull up to his window, he floors it. I throw it down into 2nd gear and I am just walking him. I get to the red light first, and he slows down deliberately so that he he can have a running start while Im not moving. It makes no difference - I get a decent launch and I catch him by 2nd and keep the hammer down to about 160 kph.
The above happens, I kid you not, for 3 lights in a row. Finally, he is man enough to line up next to me at a red light. Im looking over with a big smile. His girl is laughing in the car (presumably at him for his repeated attempts). The driver rolls down the window, and says to me in a thick jamaican accent: "EHH guy, is dat stick?".
Me: "yup"
Lexus driver: "5 spd or 6 spd"
Me: "6"
Lexus driver: "oh. dats why."
He was pretty cool about the loss, and waved a good bye and I turned on to my street to go home. hehe.

Nope - on the motor. Ive read that those things run anywhere from 95-98 mph traps... I run 105 n/a

Regardless, perhaps the original poster could let us know if his car is debadged.

Nope, my car has the factory z28 badges on the side and on the rear. I think that most ppl can tell what a v8 sounds like compared to a v6, esp with headers, no cats, and magnaflows hehehe.

Mine (stock GS400) ran 14.7 @ 97 100% stock, nothing done to save weight.
Best I've heard of stock was ~14.0 @ 100
They're weak off the line... better from a roll, especially at highway speed (not that it's any fun starting at that speed)
