lt1 vs CTS-V

ran into one yesterday after leaving the dyno. car is running lean and i should not have been driving it hard, but i couldnt pass this up.
i was cruising at 80 and seen some blu headlights coming up. moments later a black ctsv passes me with ease.
i speed up and get next to him and just hang there and give it a lil gas so here could hear the exhaust note.
well we hit traffic up ahead and he is behind me. traffic clears i go half throttle and he is on my ***, so i figured he was ready. and go WOT.
i am slowly pulling him till 120 maybe ut 2 cars on him.
then we hit traffic again. i can see an opening in the far slow lanes but didnt want to get crazy. well i see his left turn signal and he goes for it. gets a nice jump on me and i pursue. up to 130 he has 4-6 cars on me. damn and at that point i let out and he was booking it.
he ends up turning off on one of my exits. i pull up next to him at the light and he rolls down his window. " u didnt expect that out of this caddy did ya?" haha i knwo what they are about, badass car man. he then says "cadillac has came a long way"
then the light turned green and he floors it and we end up catching a light up the road a ways.
we BSing again. light turns green, i go half throttle again waiting for him to get on it. seemed like 15 mph we both got into it. took it to 100 and up until 80-90 or so he was right at my door then seemed as he was starting to pull. but at 100 i let out.
so all in all i was very impressed with my car as i have heard these cars are beast on the interstate, which he proved to be correct.
but from a dig it was very close.

Re: lt1 vs CTS-V

Basically they're saying the CTS-V traps around 105, meaning it's a very close run for your car from a roll.

I assume your 13.0 was on drag radials and that you don't normally run them on the street. If so, that means the CTS-V is also a close run from a stop -- if you don't spray them anyway.

Re: lt1 vs CTS-V

thanks john M.
i was prepared for the BS flag to come out quick, seems it didnt happen and my story is believable. it should be cuz its what happened.
you are correct that i did not spray, which i cant no more till i get my fuel pump in ( 15.1) A/F.
when i got the hit on the highway, i slowly pulled. when he got the hit, he quickly pulled.
thanks john
