lt1 vs 03 gt manual

coming home from the track. on the highway doin 75. with my brother, and 2 girls. mustang comes up besides me, we pace for a lil. then i honk 3 times and we go. he pulls me till about 105, then we shut down. had me at his rear bumper. damn, looked stock. oh well. so i slow to 60, and tell him on 3 again. we hit it and i pull away, hes at my rear bumper when i hit 3rd. then i put car between us till 110. shut down. he comes up and says "what happened on the first run?" i say "started at the bottom of 3rd" so we keep cruisin, let traffic clear. then he decides at 80 to start honkin! lol. so we go again. he starts pullin, gets me to his door by 95, then i gain my ground, and put him at my back tire at 120. he gets behind me and stays there, i move to the slow lane to get off my exit and he hits the brakes a few times so i flash my lights. that was that.
p.s. enjoy

Not bad for having an extra 450-550 lbs in the car. Good kill and loss.

Yea i'm sure without the extra weight you would have put a few cars on him...my friend has an '01 GT with exhaust, cai, and the diablo chip and a few other mods i can't remember and i beat him bone stock.

Teach your buddy how to drive! He should have beat you by a little.

Maybe it was just me and my expert driving.

I'm not saying i burned him or ne thing, it was neck and neck then i pulled away at about 105 or so. I mean GT's have a lot of ground to make up horsepower-wise to catch even an LT1. But i have a few mods now so i'd take him no problem.

Sounds like you raced a pretty good running GT.

What's the deal with this "Diablo chip" ?

How much improvement is there with this mod on the 01 GTs?

BTW - Good kill on the ford ?

The Diablo chip is kind of like reprogramming your computer...you can increase your shift firmness, change your rev limiter, and you can gain 10-20 hp from it. It's pretty cool but i got my PCM reprogrammed for far less cheap than the diablo chip thanks to madwolf(madz28.com) tuning.
