This same scenario has been played out over and over on this board over the last six years or so.

If this race ever occurs, it will come down to driver ability and who gets the kick.

My nod goes to the Camaro because I'm betting the Slobra driver doesn't know how to launch and probably doesn't realize that he needs to rev the car to 6800 rpms to take full advantage of his power band.

also the fact he has IRS and even a minor **** up and he will be chattering his teeth out rather than getting a decent launch, so if you can drive, and hes moderate, you should take him, now an 01 cobra, those can play a little rough with LT1's with anyone with even remote competence behind the wheel, you can ask me how I know....

 

Are you aware that the 01 cobra is no faster then the 99 after the fix?

I raced a 99 Cobra 5-speed about a month ago. I ran my car as it is in my signature and I only won by about 3 car lengths. You had better bring your A game.

 

oh yeah, I forgot all about the "fix" for the 99's. Well nevermind, if that 99 was taken in during the recall then he'll probably take you.

What makes you say that.You know him personally? Its a car, not a fighter jet.. A Few laps up and down the highway i had my buddies modded 98 snake pretty much figured out.

 

I don't need to know him personally to make the statement I just made. Just like I don't need to know you personally to know that you are a tool (search function works great.)

6,000 plus posts on CZ28.com in no way makes you the expert or even an authority on anything. However, you would think that in all the posting you've done on this site you might have learned how to take your car somewhere close to where it should be running with those mods. As you stated earlier, If you could just figure out your own car.

Despite your failure to convince me otherwise, I still, "give the nod to the Camaro" if this race actually happened for all the reasons I stated in my first post.
